Fashion Trends:Now and Then

               

       It is amazing to see how the different events in history have influenced and changed the way people have dressed throughout time. Some of the most popular fashions are classic, they can stand the test of time and hardly ever "go out of style", only experiencing minor changes to keep up with the trends. Other clothing items could be considered "fads", styles that are only popular for a short season and then never worn again. 

     Old school fashion is also very popular because of the fact that theres just something about it that is so sexy. Old school fashion was designed to show of the beauty of the human body. Fitted shirts and pants, cool patterns and designs, these are the trademarks of a past which young people have not experienced.

Another reason why people think that old school fashion is so cool is the fact that, combined with today's technology of comfortable fabrics, old school designs can be pretty showy and yet casual at the same time.

I made a background research on what fashion trends came back and slayed this year and Here are they:

   BERRY LIPS

History tends to repeat itself—and the saying definitely holds true in the beauty and fashion world. While deep berry lips were a '90s beauty staple, the trend can still be spotted on today's red carpet and also in a casual style.

RIPPED JEANS 

          

 They were popular in the late 1980's during the hard rock/heavy metal era and in the 1990's and 2000's during the grunge era.In the early 2010's, ripped jeans came back in style, as a 90's revival, but were sometimes introduced as Distressed - similar to ripped jeans.Ripped jeans is still on trends some people are putting some patches or 

accessories

 to their pants.

OFFSHOULDER TOP

his trend has been on-and-off the scene since the mid 1800's,off-the-shoulder dresses are the “it” trend to show off a little skin this summer or even in every season

. But 2016 made its way back again and it has been very popular for all ages this Offshoulder has different kind of style that you can mix and match it could be a dress a Longsleeve or even a  3/4 off shoulder style.

 

WHITE SNEAKER SHOES

   

               This is also not a particularly new-modern monochrome fashion trends, it can be traced back all the way to the 1920's.This is expected,given the fundamental cyclicality of fashion.But good thing it made its way back again in the fashion trends because  this white shoes  could be worn to every outfit.

BUTTON DOWN SKIRT 

            The denim skirt was introduced in the 1970s as a way to recycle denim jeans. and come back in the year 1996 but  it was an on and just like the offshoulder top.But also slayed in the year 2016, this pair of skirt could be partnered with a piece of white or black top or even a sweater.

  So this is all of the Fashion Trends that i have found that made its way back again Then and Now.

Queen Found Her Way Back Again

Selena Marie Gomez is definitely in action again after she had entered the rehab. She was known as an actress and singer, her spotlight started when she auditioned in the Barney & Friends and made her way out to season 7 and 8 who portrayed as Gianna, but Selena quit the show in 2004  because the producers felt she was getting too old for her role. But it didn’t stop her way to fame and success, because it gain her more opportunity in having projects like tv series and movies.She is mostly well known for portraying Alex Russo in the Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel television series "Wizards of Waverly Place". She also appeared in films such as Ramona and Beezus, Monte Carlo, Hotel Transylvania Spring Breakers and also in Hannah Montana etc. But we really don’t know what could really happen in the future because when Selena is slaying her way into her Revival tour concert a breaking news was announced that she postponed her scheduled tour in other countries, she told the audience in her last revival tour concert that she was 'broken inside' when she decided to enter, for help with 'anxiety, panic attacks and depression' and it could be possible that it was caused by her lupus. It was actually her second time that she entered the rehab it was 2014 the first the time she checked into the facility having the same issues this 2016.

But after three months of not posting in her social media accounts like her Instagram, which has 104 million followers as of now December 2016. Her first post is a surprise that made all her fans happy for her,  because of her caption after being out in the rehab which is 'I have a lot to be thankful for this year,' Selena wrote, along with a black and white photo which showed her posing in front of all her excited fans.

'My year has been the hardest yet most rewarding one yet. I've finally fought the fight of not "being enough”. She  maybe out for three months because of her depression, no one closes the door for her actually some people and also her fans supported her without having hesitations. Selena was actually nominated as the 'Artist of the Year' in the American Music Awards 2016.Well surprisingly, she won the award and left a speech about the health issues which caused her to seek treatment and take a break from showbiz earlier this year.

Selena bravely addressed the crowd at the AMA saying: 'In 2014 this stage was actually the first time that I was authentically 100% honest with all of you,'I think it's safe to say most of you know a lot of my life whether I liked it or not. I had to stop, I had everything and I was absolutely broken inside,' she continued as her voice shook with emotion.  Many audience and artist are emotional and proud for her speech, just like lady gaga that posted a photo in her Instagram with Selena with a caption of:

After the American Music Awards Selena Gomez  flaunt her way to a bigger path of  opportunity for her being the Brand Ambassador of Coach. It is said that Coach just won her over with a new partnership starting fall 2017. Coach confirmed her new role and cleared up a rumor: "She will not be creating a whole collection, but rather will act as a brand ambassador". Selena is really excited to work with the Coach team because it is her favorite brand since then. Stuart Vevers the designer of coach strongly agree that Selena would be the perfect Coach Girl for the upcoming fall 2017.Vevers also said in an interview that "The woman I design for is authentic, honest and possesses a romantic charm mixed with a cool, confident attitude," Vevers added. Why Filipino Women fond of buying make up?

         If Filipina can be known for someone as "Juana Dela Cruz" that is being fond of buying cosmetics and buying sale items,but for me it will always be the first one.I myself can prove to you that we are a make up addicts.Bazaar and also Malls that puts up a sale proves to us that in a split of second shoppers would go crazy buying stuffs they could use and probably a gift. Theres two mall that has a stalls of make ups or the replica of the overly priced cosmetics that you can buy which is located at Divisoria Manila.But its only an authentic item not an original,but even though its authentic you cannot tell whats the difference between  original and the fake one.Well i get curious on where is it made of so i asked one of the owner of an online shoppe who sells Make up and she said that it was made in Singapore made or the so called "SG Cosmetic". Some critics says that its not good to use a cosmetics that is not original because of the quality.Well yes it is partly true but take a look of it in the other side.Some people cannot afford to buy a thousand pesos  of  lipstick or even a mascara, that's why they a buy a cosmetic  that  is half  the price of the original one. Also some people  are  having or planning to build a business of an online shoppe of sg cosmetics to earn money because it is cheaper and it has carbon copy of the original item.

  

 999 and 168 Shopping Mall is located at Divisoria Manila. This two malls are popular for all the shopping goer's .Who loves to buys cosmetics,clothes,house hold supplies etc.It has all the things you need to buy.I always go here to buy stuffs a 1500 budget could get you a whole set of make up and also some clothes.But the challenge of going in Divisoria is the overly crowded place and people.I'll give you guys a tip if ever you travel and go to divisoria.First is you need to leave all your valuable things in your home it is not safe to bring important stuff well you guys could only bring is your wallet,basicx phones if you have and also patience,You will need a lot of patience in surviving  and finding the stuffs you  need to buy.

                   This make up could not be an original and don't have the same quality as the authentic one,At least all people could be beautiful  on how or  in what way they wanted to be.Theres no need to stereotype  a people who cannot manage to buy an expensive cosmetic because all women,girls or   just have the same thoughts they just want to be beautiful and confident in showing in their own unique way.Make up could be used as things to make someone nice or beautiful but also it can make a woman boost her confidence."Perspective of thousands of women  for whom a tube of lipstick  or a wand of mascara have served as confidence-boosters during crucial moments when looking and feeling good meant a lot"stated by Ms. Mally Roncal an  A-list celebrity make-up artist. Victoria's Secret is an American brand of women's premium lingerie, Perfume and cosmetics.Roy Raymond the store owner, started from the bottom with only $80,000 it is said that half of the money he invested in building the store was came from his parents and half of it was loan in the bank.It was said in an interview that Roy Raymond  made an idea of building a lingerie store, because he was embarrassed when he bought a gift  for his lovely wife.After a year of having a Lingerie Store it boom and he opened more and more as the years goes by. It actually started from the year 1977, but the annual event of  Victoria's Secret Fashion Show started at the year 1995 and it has evolved for 22 years.

1995

The First  Victoria's Secret Fashion Show took place in 1995 at the Plaza Hotel in New York. The model wore silky lingerie and lightning back then was not that good

1996

The lingerie are more longer and added a robe to emphasize the brassiere.It has also a better lightning than the first show

1998

This year has been a bigger year for the fashion show wig and costumes are the mainstream back then

Every year the fashion show has different concepts and the costumes are always on point that it always has an element of surprise.Whenever the model flaunt their runway walk with the lingerie their wearing.It has been an iconic to Victoria's Secret Fashion show to wear a wings every year,they invited model who are popular in the fashion and model industry.They  are having a casting  and screening to be  one of the angels(model) walking with over the top lingerie. There has been an Artist serenading and performing in the stage together with the models to make it  memorable.But the catch here is,if  the year 2016 the biggest annual event of all time?

Well the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2016 was held at Paris!!! so the team of the event and the angels prepared from small to big details to make it the best of all fashion show.And also there a list of the Angel Line up they will be the highlight of the fashion show together with the musical guest Lady Gaga whose also wearing a lingerie and a gown for her appearance at the show,Bruno Mars is also there having  a comeback in his music industry singing his "24 k" song and The Weekened or known as Abel sings his album length "Starboy" at the show,He is known as the former boyfriend of one of the angels whoi walked in the runaway (Bella Hadid). The most awaited models of the viewer of the fashion show is Kendall Jenner, Gigi & Bella Hadid as they strike their catwalk and poses .The highlight of the fashion show is Jasmine Tookes an angel that is chosen to wear the annual fantasy bra,this brassiere is as  bright night fantasy designed by Eddie Borgo draped with diamonds and emeralds included more than 450 carats and spent 700 hours stripping And that's worth $ 3 million in the United States.

I've made this blog because  I have many critics about the fashion show.And also the people who use their products. First is  the show really showcase how a good quality of lingerie they have and how they advertise it to all the consumer of the brand.Well,yes it maybe expensive

and not all people here in the Philippines can afford to buy there product.But Atleast the store owner  manage to build a store here.Second is that they are not Body shaming and stereotyping  all the woman because of the differences within the shapes and sizes,they make all lingerie for all the women. Lastly I made this because,I think I can connect with all the fans and consumer of Victoria's Secret on what I have in mind of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2016.
